WorkSafe Safety Alert – Electrician electrocuted at domestic property

Following a recent incident where a licensed electrician was electrocuted while working at a domestic property, WorkSafe in consultation with ESV has issued an alert for all electrical workers about the risk of installing cables where the electrical supply has not been de-energised and/or the integrity of the existing electrical cable is unknown.

The Safety Alert alert provides recommendations on how to identify and control the risks, along with the legal duties of employers.
